Back in 2012, I began my jiu-jitsu journey as a way to help my son build confidence in himself. I was a wrestler throughout high school, and jiu-jitsu felt like a great next path. Since then, I have continued jiu-jitsu as a practitioner, coach, competitor, and now gym owner. I love the sense of community/family that jiu-jitsu brings to my life. Opening my own gym felt like the next step in helping more people have a sense of belonging, a support system, and a safe place to grow.
Outside of jiu-jitsu, my main hobbies include traveling with my wife (especially to anywhere tropical), adventuring, and spending time with my kids.

I was first introduced to jiu-jitsu through my now husband. I spent many days in different dojos, watching him train, teach, and compete. I truly never thought that I would begin training myself as it's a very intimidating sport to watch. However, with opening our own gym I decided it was finally time to give it a go, and I don't regret that decision one bit. Jiu-jitsu has become one of my favorite forms of exercise, and I love the confidence it has given me in every day life.
When I'm not in the gym, I love reading, traveling with my husband, and hanging out with my dogs.

Instructor fundamentals of Jiu-jitsu/self defense
Dave Rich
I started Brazilian Jiu--Jitsu around 2010. I love the fitness and self defense jiu-jitsu has taught me and also helps with my job as a deputy with the sheriffs department. I have competed at the highest levels and really enjoy teaching new students the fundamentals of jiu-jitsu.

I got involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu around 2010, my first instructor received his blue belt from Royce Gracie. It was the self-defense benefits that first attracted me. Jiu-Jitsu is a rewarding journey where you start with the idea of fighting others and you soon realize you are really battling yourself as you grow.

Instructor, children's Jiu-Jitsu

I was introduced to martial arts through my husband. Hesitant at first, I still joined and fell in love with the discipline. Jiu-jitsu became a family event with our children training and falling in love with it as well. I have now been training in this discipline for 10 years. I've grown more confident in myself along with feeling safer out on my own. This is a great community/family!

Assistant Instructor, children's Jiu-Jitsu
Lilly Johnson
I was introduced to jiu-jitsu by my dad. The first day I walked into a dojo, I immediately fell in love with jiu-jitsu. Once I started I both mentally and physically felt better. Getting out on the mat has always cleared my mind, and I would like to give that feeling back to my community.

I originally got into martial arts to learn how to control my anger issues. That was when I was 18. I'm 45 now and I have never stopped training. I built confidence and self control. I also had the unexpected benefit of being part of a martial arts family. It's the best thing I have done for myself.
